January 2014: The Florida Department of Education proposed changes to the Next Generation Social Studies Standards adopted in 2008. These changes specifically reflect 4th Grade at the elementary level. These standards were APPROVED and have been added to the Florida Standards (NGSSS) as of August 2014!
